We landed and were out and about by 7am. It was dead at 7am. There were no tourists anywhere - just us! It felt so cool. Weather was perfect in May

When we went

general tips/tricks

  • we managed to get everything that we wanted to see in the 12 hours that we were there

  • transport from the airport to downtown is very easily accessible via metro

  • once you're in the downtown core you can easily walk everywhere

  • if you do take the metro - make sure you get the correct passes - we were fined (never paid it though)

  • other major sites you should see: the little mermaid, Amalienborg, and Christiansborg Palace

  • great food and beer but can be pricey

Final thoughts

Beautiful country with lots of pretty things to see
Would I recommend going?
Only as a layover
Would I go back?

I have no need to go back
Total Cost:
Around $50 per person

(please note: this was simply a layover so all we had to pay for was food and the metro pass - $50 is probably pushing it)
